Monkeyman
I have a hp pavilion dv9000 laptop, the wireless is fine but the modem or w/e is to far away. I have no idea how to find out what booster to get because there are like 3 different kinds. I'm using a ubee WiFi thing. I think you need this but here, Broad-com 4321Ag 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi. Please help i'm sick of my internet cutting out.
RetiredTacos
Since its a laptop wireless card you can't increase the power (not easily anyway) Your best bet depending on the router you have is to attach a larger antenna to it if it has a coaxial connection. enigma#
http://www.hfield.com/ WiFire... you can get this external device to push the power. However it wouldn't be dependent on your wifi card you already have in your laptop.
