Weeman
So far the reviews coming in from major gaming sites as well as magazines have received Human Revolution no lower then a 9.4 (that's the lowest it has received so far). Most expect the game to be game of the year, and quite frankly I think it has a shot at it as well. There was a leak about 2 months ago of an early build version of the game that i was able to play and it put this game at in 2nd place for my most anticipated games this year (Dark Souls will always be #1). For those of you who do not know what Deus Ex is its a cyberpunk action adventure with a dash of rpg elements. The first one won a whole bunch of awards due to almost intoxicating blend of different gaming elements as well as the ability to solve each level in multiple ways. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the prequel the critically acclaimed game taking place in the year 2027 where human augmentation has just made its way to the public, which is meant with hostilities from religious groups throughout the world. There is a LOT of religious and morality views in this game. [video=youtube;akaos1U8Rto] The start of this revolution takes place in Detroit City where Sarif Industries opened its doors to human augmentation for the hopes that it will revive the once thriving metropolis (Detroit City has been on a steady decline since the end of the automotive era). [video=youtube;UG_oThcYsn0] The only problem is, not a lot of people have heard about this game, which leads to the point of this thread. This game is going to be a fresh face in a field of nothing but run and gun shooters. Like running and gunning? fine take the easy way out and build your augmentations around resilience and strength. Stealth more of your thing? Augment your feet to not make a sound when running or jumping. Long range combat your thing? Augmenting your feet to allow you to jump to high places gives you a great vantage point while augmented eyes increase zoom and your hands can hold a rifle twice your size more steadily then ever before. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is going to be an amazing game which I have high hopes for, which were already matched in the leak. So i hope this gets a lot of you excited for it as well. [video=youtube;Kq5KWLqUewc] For those of you who don't know the weird intro to the trailer it is the story of Icarus, which seems to be the main idea for the game. Are Humans flying too high for their own good? Will they be burned by their own ambitions and sent back to earth to meet their fate? Only one way to find out I guess. Also I might stream it for those who are still skeptical.
Isaac
Weeman, Great shit bro!, I plan on getting Deus Ex: Human Revolution; but 9.4 is just a number and it will get game of the year just like the original did don't worry. Weeman
Yea most definitly, its a shame though most people i mention this game to say "Deus what?" which is why i made this thread, educate people on how great this game is gonna be. Weeman
try to show this thread to as many friends as you can, they deserve the free publicity since they've put so much work into this, and actually listened to feedback from fans. Wingless
I wasn't even aware that there was a debate going on about the remote possibility of this not being a good game. Then again, I'm just now getting around to playing through Mass Effect for a number of reasons, so I guess I completely missed that boat. Wingless
I still haven't played any of the Mass Effect games. I don't usually drool over games, but it made me so hard. Unless you have something against dialogue and depth, I'd absolutely recommend playing it. Also, I never got into DX's multiplayer. This one would really have to draw me in, and I'm not sure if the engine would do that.
Richie
Weeman! Did you get copy rights from the Iron Giant movie?! You stole that man! Btw sounds like a good game. I have heard jokes about the first game but never played it.
FatBat
I have already put down the money to get it for 360, yews I know and dont give me shit about it, I hoping it will be at least as good as the first one or I will just loose hope for the series all together. I may a copy when i get my machine to quit bugging out mid game but that is something for a different time.
FatBat
I still haven't played any of the Mass Effect games. They are cheap now and the addons are worth it especially for the the 2'nd one. 007sarodim
I haven't been up to knowledge about this game yet, although I do remember the first Deus Ex. Ah, the days when you could kill kids in games. Trailers excite me though, can't wait to get it on my new rig.
