AnonyHorse
If this technology as actually usable in games that are being made now, some random ass aussie wouldn't be talking about it on youtube, he would be working for a company like EA. Its not a new thing, just something that needs a lot of tweaking to perfect.
PedalBin
Ahhh John, you could've waited for people's reactions them put them down!
Chicken Wings
Not new, hasn't been in a while, tried constantly and failed. That map is the same thing generated over and over again. not a huge challenge. graphics aren't going anywhere, Polygons will keep increasing as time goes by

r3dm0nd
see the problem with this is just like the notch article states in case anyone doesnt wanna read it, but to render everything on the fly like they supposedly are doing it requires and unprecedented amount of data. I'm all for better graphics sure but better graphics usually come with a price, which is diminished game play in the way the game either gets boring really fast or isn't challenging. Frostbite
Looks great, but if you look at it, some games just go for graphics and think that they'll save it from bombing.
Chicken Wings
He is avoiding all of the important questions. As soon as they figure out that they cannot render a lot of different objects instead of the same ones (why do you think games reuse props?) its going down the shitter. Coloration, animation, those will add millions of bytes to the data. not going to work.
blakurY
This Is Going To Work But There Is One Problem. To Make A For Example Call OF Duty In Graphics Like It They Would Need A Lot Of Time To Make The Non-Fiction Items All Guns Everything It Will Just Take Too Long. Game Companys Dont Want To Employ These People Propably Because They Want Millions And EA Is Not Sure Would They Make Their Profit. SO In Other Words If They Would Have A Game Company Ready TO Invest They Would Have AN Awsome GAME
