Skanky Tank
SO I finally built it. (Awaiting Terry Taco to approval/disprove) My money accumulated from my D&D job this summer, I built it in a great budget of $662! HERE ARE THE SPECS HDD - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz PSU - Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-620 620W GPU - SAPPHIRE 100312-1GDP Radeon HD 6950 1GB MOBO - MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard CASE - Sentey Black Box Series 4284 Mid Tower Case I plan on upgrading my RAM to 8 gigs, because you can't be too safe with Battlefield 3 comming out! I'm running on a 23' 1920x1080 monitor I am hoping this will max out BF3. What do the HG nerds think of it?

Intel and a GTX 580 wouldn't fit in his. Skanky: I am not sure you'll be able to max out BF3 but I pretty sure you'll be able to run the details on High settings with what you have so far. Yeah, I was looking into the GTX series, but just too expensive and for what I was looking for. Also, later on my friend is going to unlock my card to a 6970, will that still not max out bf3? Oh, and I have a ThermalTake keyboard and a R.A.T. 5 mouse
Cefdinir
You'll will see an improvement in performance if you unlock your 6950 to a 6970 (what I have right now, specs in sig). But since the official tech specs haven't been released for BF3 it is hard to tell what would run it maxed out.
RetiredTacos
I'm not sure if "maxing out" off a single graphics card will happen, but it'll run damn good. Looks good to me, if you can swing an AM3+ motherboard over that one I'd look into that instead of 8GB of RAM right now.
