3V0Lu710N Posted September 8, 2011 Share Posted September 8, 2011 I was thinking of getting MW3 at GameStop but i don't know if i can play it on steam and get COD4 for free and i want to know if i buy the CD Version do i still have to download the game? would take me alot of time on my current internet connection (because ive moved and thats why i havent been active or such also busy with school now ..) Rick Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 If you buy it from gamestop, the badass fucking ultimate edition, or even the original retail version, you can click on games in your steam client, activate a product on steam if you enter your license key from the case itself, it basically turns into a steam version on your account as long as you didnt already activate it with the retail installation. Which means unfortunately, yes, you will have to download it from steam servers if you choose this method.
