The Prodigy
What's up HG? I'm definately looking to buy a decent gaming computer. My friend recommended the Razer Blade. They talked about at PAX this year but i didnt't actually see it. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a better computer, or some cool information on the Blade. If you know anything, please let me know.
Richie
Instead of buying that, why don't you just make your own with parts from newegg or tigerdirect? It's cheaper and pretty good. My comp runs like a champ and it was like 500$ for all the parts.
The Prodigy
Yeah I really wanted to use newegg at first and then I saw this, I just wanted to know what people thought about it or have heard anything I haven't. Thanks!

Darkwing Duck
I personally think that the Razer Blade is a nice concept....but waaayyyy overpriced, for something that is simply for aesthetics. Build yourself a nice rig from parts using newegg.
Plaayer
I personally think that the Razer Blade is a nice concept....but waaayyyy overpriced, for something that is simply for aesthetics. Could not have said it any better. It's light and thin, with powerhouse specs. If you're wanting a laptop, but don't mind it being heavy or bulky, you can find stuff better for cheaper. RetiredTacos
He's 15...not everyone wants to build a computer. The razer blade is a fuggin beast, gay name but it'll handle anything thrown at it. Damn sure better for 3000$

AnonyHorse
if you have that much to spend then by all means get the razer blade, but if your mechanically inclined and dont mind a bit of work...its much more worth it to build your own. if you can build your own then theres a lot of people here that are willing to help you along the way. Never trust a hippie
I have one for sale: Intel Core i3-2100 Sandy Bridge Processor (3.10 GHz) GIGABYTE H61 micro ATX motherboard EVGA 9800GTX+ video card G.SKILL 8 GB (4GB X 2) DDR3 1333 RAM Antec Earthwatts Green 380 watt continuous power power supply(80 plus bronze certification) 82%+ efficiency Seagate Barricuda Green 1TB hard drive LITE-ON CD/DVD burner Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Black steel ATX mid tower case (front panel USB and audio) (25cm side panel fan + 120mm rear fan) This is new(refurbished 9800gtx+). would do for $500 + shipping... Also made this that cost nothing out of spare parts a few friends and myself had: HAF 932 full tower Gigabyte p45 core 2 duo E8500 3.16 9800 GT freezer pro 7 Corsair 750TX 2X2 (4G) gig DDR2 60G HDD Used for testing.
