You can get a nicely optioned 3 series for 40,000. Thats how much a Genesis costs.

I can't find ANYWHERE in my area that is quoting Genesis for even close to that much. The basic automatic is only ~23k and the highest end version is only ~32k. Maybe they cost more where you live since only old retired people live there.

Price it on their website. It costs 47k fully loaded. I'm talking about the sedan btw.

Go for a Honda, or a used car. Honda's will last forever and will never break down. (Unless you don't take care of them)

http://automobiles.honda.com/civic/ Brand new base price of just over 15K. It might not have that awesome "WOW" factor to it but it could work and gets great gas millage. If anything, go for the Honda...

Oh and EDIT: If you go to collage, try and get yourself into the medical field. That is the way to go right now.

Ah, you're right. I was looking at the coupe.

Either ways you have to admit Hyundai has come up a LOT and I wouldn't be surprised if they started flat out beating some of the other cars in that class soon.

But for now, I agree. If I cared about cars enough to get a fancy new car, I'd go with BMW over the other luxury brands. When you grow up being driven around in a black Sunbird with no a/c in the HOT south you learn not to give a crap about luxury and appreciate the point A to B aspect :P

I agree. Definitely get a used car. Cars lose too much value the moment they leave the lot and there are so many used cars in near-prime condition today. It's kinda foolish to buy a new car.

Hondas are solid. Mine has 280k miles on it and still runs the way it did when I bought it with 116k. Haven't had to do a single thing to it other than routine maintenance.

As for the medical field: remember that a LOT of people have this same idea. Obviously something that needs a doctorates degree is still golden, but I know competition is pretty stiff for any of the lesser jobs like nurses, assistants, ultrasound techs, etc., and a lot of them are having a really hard time finding employment that is anywhere near the pay they were expecting. Job uncertainty in other fields and an ostensible security in the medical field have resulted in way too many people studying for it.

This thread is about Redmond and his unfortunate situation.... Why are you guys talking about a fucking car?

Redmond, I have never been in your shoes, so I cannot fully understand how big of a situation this is for you...

Joining the military may not fix everything, and it may not be the best option, but it IS an option. And joining the military can give you different options as to what you wanna do in life, as a career. You wont get much money, but the benefits are always great. And if you are still dependent on your family (Parents), then they will provide for your family as well. Or if you have a clean record, try to join a security company. They pay you very well, and have fantastic benefits.

Or if you are committed enough, join a Pyramid. Talk to everybody you see, try to sell whatever you're trying to sell, or get clientele depending on which company you work for. Or get others to join you in this pyramid work, so whatever they make, you get a percentage of it.

I have only worked at an auto body, dry cleaners, and a few restaurants... None of these options are good.

But dont lose hope... And if you believe, then dont stop believing bro. Keep your head up and stay strong brother.

Other way around. The military gives extra money for having dependents not being a dependent. Unless you have kids and wife living in an apartment or house, you're not getting any more than base pay. They don't give a shit about your parents(or the actual soldier either).

First of all, why are you italicizing everything you write? It's ridiculous and makes it harder to read.

You gave advise and I gave my own advise as to why I think your advise is bad. Deal with it.

If he wanted to join the military, he'd join. Suggesting it as an escape is a bad idea.

Not to mention it's an evil organization that destroys everything it touches and doesn't give a fuck about it. The idea of serving is honorable, but in reality it's not quite so. Actions and results speak louder than romantic fantasies. /points to history books

I always italicize my words, you think I give a fuck if you can read it or not? "I think your advise is bad. Deal with it" Never bruh. You still failed to realized that its his choice.

"Suggesting it as an escape is a bad idea" -- umm correct me if am wrong, but when did i say it was a good idea? It was just a option. Keep believing that the military is a evil organization,k. (what kind of shit is that really? (haha)

Assuming you aren't very intelligent based on this post.

A majority of a person money goes into financing a car. Am i right? We are all trying to help, not talk about random shit. Honda's are cheaper, ergo he pays less money which in turns allows him to spend that money on things like collage, etc.

Well first off why was the lease rejected? if i can remember correctly unless u are just not paying rent for the lease, the owner has to give u a 6 month notification for a business unless he or she is now in chapter 11 or 13 then there is nothing u can do

I had to kick a business out for non payment on one of my commercial properties and they decided to bring the law into the picture, yet since they had a signed agreement of pay dates and amounts they had no leg to stand on. Hopefully this helps

The military is great....if you enjoy getting shot in the face. I'd rather work at McDonalds. Take a student loan and go to college. It opens up a lot of opportunities.

Chillin, I see.

You can always join the Reserve, and even though some Reservists still go out of country, chances are slim for you. And joining the military, you wont always be deployed to war zones, whether active duty or reserve. Plus joining the military, they pay for your college...

Blackberry I understand you guys were trying to help him out by comparing prices between different cars, but posting numerous times saying nothing about his situation isnt exactly ideal.
