Jesus2
"Oakland and Cincinnati are on the verge of completing one of the NFL's biggest trade-deadline deals in decades, with the Raiders acquiring holdout quarterback Carson Palmer from the Bengals in exchange for two first-round picks, according to sources familiar with the deal." 2012 First Round pick is for sure. Bengals get a first rounder in 2013 if they win a playoff game this year and if they don't, the Bengals get a 2013 2nd rounder. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7118158/oakland-raiders-verge-getting-carson-palmer-cincinnati-bengals-sources-say thoughts? Personally I think the Raiders are over paying for a 31 (turning 32) year old QB who threw 20 int's last season and has missed an entire offseason, an entire training camp and 6 weeks of the season. Considering the Bengals are 4-2 with Andy Dalton at QB, I think this deal is making them look real good right now.
r3dm0nd
I agree with you I don't think he is honestly worth it but its their choice I guess
LazaHorse
... Oakland you srs? Michael Vick isn't worth two first round picks... Palmer isn't even worth two third round picks XD
BooT
They have a point, the current quarterback of the Raiders is a scrub. They needed something to look forward to. But a first round pick is a first round pick. Depending on how the draft class looks, this could either be a good trade or it could be a bad one. He definitely wasn't a pro bowl QB, but he knew the offense and was doing a good job running it. I don't know if he's a scrub lol

I don't know if he's a scrub lol If he isn't Jay Cutler, he is a scrub! But nah, I would rather rely on Carson Palmer. I mean look at Roy Williams and Marion Barber, no one expected them to do shit for the Bears and they are doing pretty darn good.
Dr.jiggles
So i guess it wasn't Al Davis that was fucking up with the draft picks and trades, it's the whole Raider organization....

Jesus2
but seeing the raiders i think they value u QB more then any other position. Every team would value a good QB. Carson Palmer was a good QB. Stats suggest he's in decline. Only QB's I'd trade a 1st rounder and another 1st rounder (conditional) for would be Brady, Brees, Manning, Stafford, Bradford, Rodgers. FDR
We'll see how Palmer does in the next few games, but I doubt the Raiders will be do better than they are right now but I think if the Raiders are going to do worse with him, it's not going to be losing all their games with him as the starter. LazaHorse
He's the next Manning. You mean he's gonna get hurt this season and retire at the end right? XD
BooT
Weird... cuz Jay Cutler is a scrub. Incorrect! Jay Cutler's offensive line is full of scrubs. Jay Cutler is actually amazing.
Jesus2
You mean he's gonna get hurt this season and retire at the end right? XD No I mean the 11 pro bowls, 5 all-pro's, 4 mvp's, and Superbowl Ring. Not to mention probably the most wins by a hybrid Coach/QB wins at the same time.
