Wabbit
""In the biography, Jobs also vents his fury at other Apple competitors, notably Google. He pledged to launch “thermonuclear war†against Google Android, which he termed “a stolen product.†In a meeting with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Jobs supposedly refused to accept any sort of Android-related payout: “I don’t want your money. If you offer me $5 billion, I won’t want it. I’ve got plenty of money. I want you to stop using our ideas in Android, that’s all I want.†In keeping with Jobs’ words, Apple has also fired off lawsuits against Android device manufacturers. Its worldwide courtroom battle against Samsung extends from Europe to Japan and Australia, with both companies accusing each other of intellectual property violations. Apple’s other lawsuit targets include HTC and Motorola, and it recently settled a dispute with Nokia. Executive Council Kigen Posted October 24, 2011 Executive Council Share Posted October 24, 2011 A comment in that news article explains the situation pretty well. Steve jobs was such a whiner. First he whine about Bill gates stealing his ideas, then he whines about getting kicked out of his own company, Apple. Then he whines about iPod being copied by other people, then about iphone being copied by other companies then whines about ipad and iOS copy rights and patents. Such a loser. Its just whine whine and whine!!!! about people stealing his ideas. What about Steve jobs own stealing track record: 1. stealing BSD kernel to make OSX 2. stealing GUI and mouse from xerox 3. stealing on line market place idea from getjar and ubuntu market place 4. stealing numerous features from linux community and adding them to OSX 5. stealing android features and calling them innovation and sooo onnnnnnn....... I am glad luckly he got such a success before he dies else he would have haunted all those guy he was jealous off.
r3dm0nd
yes there are hints of iOS in android but its also is the same way around iOS 5 copied androids way of notifications and such there are are only so many ways you can do things that are easy for users to understand how to do sure both could have made uniques paths to do things but it would have required you to probably read a book sized manual to figure it out. People copy people every day and get away with it some obvious some less but its life and its how it is
60Seconds
Steve Jobs didn't copy anyone. Take a look at the iPhone, you show me one phone that came out before it that could do anything similar. He didn't steal the mouse, he never took credit for creating it. He took it from Xerox , who had no objections and he made it mainstream. You are forgetting that Xerox's mouse cost $400, his cost $

ZD-ShadowNinja
IOS 5 Is full of stolen idea's from android... But android would of never made it this far without taking Iphone's ideas and creating something new, he was just taking something that technically he made so it's not stolen its just consulting ideas without a consultant

He didn't steal the mouse. /snip/ He took it from Xerox[/Quote] I know the company pretty much doesn't exist anymore, but has everyone forgotten about Palm? Or this phone? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_Prada_(KE850) Steve was hell-bent on his own double standard. I never could respect him or Apple's business practices for that very reason. Instead of winning the competition solely on innovation and consumer demand, they always tried to win it on shady marketing and patent trolling. You're not out-innovating a damned person if you're running them out of business to get a leg up.
Isaac
Welcome to America, People always have been stealing other ideas from different company's and changing it up just a "little" to make a profit on it. It's nothing new, Its been going on for ages.

BlackEyes
I think this has some pretty interesting things about Steve Jobs. http://www.digitalmusicnews.com/stories/032411jobsa I don't base my opinion about him off of this as it could be just a biased list of negative things about him. Wingless
Yeah I know, but I mean they didn't take over after he died. Unless you're implying that Gates is going to go back in time and kill Jobs, ala Sarah Connor, this isn't even relevant. Now, the future of Apple is entirely up in the air. Jobs had a few years worth of development planned out, but it's up to the current board to not dick everything up. Apple has always been a very closed, dictatorial company, and it is quite possible that it can't survive the types of leadership changes that other major companies have had. Next thing you know, they're going to be grabbing for ideas, and start gluing together 4 iPads. "Well, it worked when we taped together 4 iPhones, so..."
