Would anyone care if I left?

If you joined HG, it's because you saw something/someone good in the clan that you wanted to be a part of. Chances are, THAT someone hasn't left HG yet and if you go will miss you. You do what feels right, but there's friends here. As far as a sense of belonging, that comes mostly from being active/contributing. It's one thing to be a member of HG. But to be recognized by other members, you've gotta go above the "stay active" requirement. Talk to people in teamspeak, subscribe to admin privs on a server, or just do your best to make them fun for people.

tl;dr: Want to be missed, do something to MAKE people miss you. And thanks to this thread, I will now care if you go. Don't go.

HG is a big community. We have 9,477 registered users on the forums. You have to be active, outgoing, and do things to set yourself apart from the masses to feel like a part of it. While I don't know you, I'm sure there are people in the clan that do and would miss you if you left. Try to diversify the servers you play on, sign up for some events, and get to know new people within HG. The more you do this, the more you will feel a part of the community and the desire to stay a part of it. You have to be proactive though.

I would compare it to creating a website. You might have a really kick-ass site, but if you don't market it and improve the search ranking, nobody will know about it. The same applies here. I see you have been a part of the forums for 6 months, but only have 52 posts. If you are more active on here and on Teamspeak and give people a chance to get to know you, I guarantee you will feel more like you belong. You can't really get that by just putting on your [HG] tags and doing your own thing.

I never like to see people leave, but when it comes to this community, you get out of it what you put in.

I can't express how much of a distaste I have for these types of threads. If you feel left out, its probably because you weren't active in the first place.
