ThrillHouse
Well I have finally decided to stop playing Counter Strike: Source. No this isn't goodbye to HG. I will still be playing TF2 L4D and GarrysMod. It's just, I couldn't take the lag or the poor internet connection that CSS was having. Every time I get in a game it kicks me off the internet. This is the only game that does it. So unless it changes I will not be playing CSS until August when I get a new computer.
bort
ok well thats odd that TF2 runs better than CSS. i always thought CSS was pretty good on older machines. but anyway, hope you get a real badass PC in Aug

ThrillHouse
Annual or bi-annual OS reinstallation also works wonders I tried to do that once but couldn't figure out how to uninstall reinstall it.
Wingless
I tried to do that once but couldn't figure out how to uninstall reinstall it. OSes don't really "uninstall", unless you count doing a random (Preferably DoD spec) wipe of your hard drive. You just load XP or Vista (heaven forbid) from whatever install disk you have around for that purpose.
vandium
cod4 runs much better than css, for me Yeah that show's how shitty the engine is. (or how much it relies on the system's processor, instead of graphics processor) COD4 has FANTASTIC graphics, and runs way better than cs. Wingless
COD4 has FANTASTIC graphics, and runs way better than cs. And then they let a sub-par development studio make ANOTHER WWII GAME on the COD4 engine. Sad face. Long live Infinity Ward! /tangent

You don't really need to do a DoD wipe unless you're selling your comp or trying to erase all your snuff kiddie porn (which Terry does tri-monthly). Lol. I'm not a big fan of garbage sitting around on my disks. Plus, I'll gladly spend CPU cycles on general paranoia if I don't need the box for a few hours. I should start buying HDDs off of eBay again and get my forensics on. You never know what people you can find naked on other people's hardware.
