Hehe. Yeah I'll put it together tonight. I can't instal the OS cause I have no disk drive! It's coming from CA everything else was from NJ. I might go pick one up from Staples and return it tomorrow after I install the OS lol.

I miss working in our support organization, because it gave me enough time to build entire computers on one of the benches in my cube. I just had to toss it in the trunk and install an OS when I got home. Also, getting paid for personal tasks.

That's what I mean I think? It's the DVD burner drive thing fag. I have the OS on a disk but the DVD burner drive thing is coming from California. Therefore I won't be able to install the OS. Forgive me if I'm completely wrong and forgive me for using the wrong terminology.

Any XP or vista ISO is by default a bootable CD.

XP fits on a CD, vista needs a DVD.

Pick up that CD rom from staples and return it later ;)

Or if you don't already have two drives, go ahead and keep it. They are so cheap these days.

Even the dvd-roms are fucking cheap.

Its nice having more than one cd/dvd drive.

Okay I'll run over to staples and gran a cd rom in about 20 mins when I'm off work. I wanna hang myself and tie my genitals with the same rope after staring at my case and the rest of my shit all day in the corner of the stock room. :/

No kidding. That's way too expensive, considering I got a burner for 20 or 30 bucks from newegg, and it works pretty damned well. Some people like to have a reader drive to keep just reads on one drive to minimize wear on your more expensive burner. I only have a dvd burner on my computer right now, but it's nice to have two for burn on the fly if you plan on copying disks. I usually keep ISOs unless I need to free up some disk space, so it's not really a need for me anymore.

It's an external. That would be part of the reason. That and lightscribe drives up the price a bit for being cool.

Anyway, you're probably going to want an internal drive (in the case) so I'd suggest maybe hitting walmart or meijers or whatever you happen to have around if you plan on buying on today. They don't have great hardware, but they do have it.

Goto BestBuy or Fry's.

Electronic stores will have more brands, and cheaper prices on electronics.

BTW, that is a read and write.
