TheCount
Well, I've decided to make my own Minecraft server but during the process of port forwarding I've hit a bump in the road. I don't have a username or password, I have Time Warner Cable Internet and the company the does the internet is Ambit Broadband, if anyone has any idea or has done this please help! dorito^
The possible username combinations that you can have for your modem/router are - Username: admin Password: admin Username: administrator Password: administrator EDIT: If they don't work, have a look at your booklet that came with your gear, or just call your ISP. If you need any help doing the actual port-forwarding, let me know, i'll be glad to help out. Edited November 19, 2011 by R3venant
Wingless
A null (blank) user field, and "admin" for the password is also fairly common. So Google your model number and the result will magically get you there.

That works too, also many modems can have a fair few problems with port-forwarding. Mine for example - Thompson TG782T is probably the worst modem ever created, randomly cuts out, forgets forwarded ports, and has trouble forwarding them in the first place. Never ran stock firmware. Always go third party if you needs have any hint of complexity.
dorito^
Yeah, im thinking of ditching this modem and getting a new one, but seeing that I'm not running any game servers anymore. It isn't too bad, except for occasional cut-outs.
