Deag1e Posted December 17, 2008 Author Share Posted December 17, 2008 its not a glitch its a hack every time. cause when you go to ban them in admin ban menu their name shows up as [] ie they have no name. the hack they use is to copy some one else name while they hack so if a admin tries to ban them they will ban the wrong person. But if their name is unconnected and if you go to voteban and/or admin menu see them as blank, then that's most likely a name hack. bort Posted December 17, 2008 Share Posted December 17, 2008 there are several reasons why they could have unconnected: 1.) a hack script changes their name too many times and they lose connection with the server. in this case their name is "" and they will show up as unconnected 2.) they manually type their name as "unconnected" 3.) there is a glitch with the server. i was once in a server where everyone was unconnected 4.) they type in console setinfo name "" ; retry. that makes their name "" and they show up as unconnected. There's a way I know in console to use an unconnected name and a real name at the same time for chatting. Extremely easy so don't say it's a hack. It can be a glitch if something went wrong with the connection. EDIT: It's the thing that bort said with the setinfo thing.
