BlackEyes
I've been getting a blue screen of death, here is an analysis of the dump files by the program BlueScreenView, with the "Full Path" replaced with a link to download them. I've been trying to figure out myself what can be causing the problems and I've either figured out that it may be somehow related to Steam as I'm currently downloading a game, or I'm wrong and it's something that I haven't even took notice of yet. ================================================== Dump File : 010112-47907-01.dmp Crash Time : 1/1/2012 2:08:23 PM Bug Check String : KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Bug Check Code : 0x0000001e Parameter 1 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 2 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 3 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 4 : 00000000`00000000 Caused By Driver : nwifi.sys Caused By Address : nwifi.sys+3dbdc File Description : Product Name : Company : File Version : Processor : x64 Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+70590 Stack Address 1 : Stack Address 2 : Stack Address 3 : Computer Name : Full Path : http://www.mediafire.com/?c4xw8159r1rneg9 Processors Count : 4 Major Version : 15 Minor Version : 7600 Dump File Size : 332,744 ================================================== ================================================== Dump File : 010112-23134-01.dmp Crash Time : 1/1/2012 10:49:51 AM Bug Check String : KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Bug Check Code : 0x0000001e Parameter 1 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 2 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 3 : 00000000`00000000 Parameter 4 : 00000000`00000000 Caused By Driver : tcpip.sys Caused By Address : tcpip.sys+6af1a File Description : Product Name : Company : File Version : Processor : x64 Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+70590 Stack Address 1 : Stack Address 2 : Stack Address 3 : Computer Name : Full Path : http://www.mediafire.com/?kug2djh07i0282d Processors Count : 4 Major Version : 15 Minor Version : 7600 Dump File Size : 262,144 ================================================== EDIT 1: I've just tried using the sfc /scannow command and it said there were corrupt files found that were also repaired. I will wait to see if I get another BSOD. If that doesn't work, I might re-install my Network Adapter driver since the two drivers, tcpip and nwifi are in that category. Didn't work ^ EDIT 2: It's been about two hours since I re-installed my network adapter's driver and I haven't had a BSOD yet, all while I'm downloading my game. Worked for a long time, had a blue screen last night after turning my monitor off and tryed to go to sleep. BlackEyes
Well, I still haven't had a BSOD since I updated my driver so I am almost positive I've fixed my problem.
