McDill
En Masse Entertainment Announces TERA to Release in North America on May 1 Upcoming Action MMO PC Game Features Intense Action Combat that Redefines the Genre SEATTLE – January 17, 2012 – En Masse Entertainment, a publisher built by gamers, focused on delivering fun and innovative online games, announced today that its award-winning and highly anticipated action MMO title, TERA, will launch on May 1, 2012. The upcoming release of TERA will be available in Standard and Collector’s Editions at retail and online stores. It will mark a new era in gaming. TERA sets a new standard by delivering true action combat to players who want more than the stale and repetitive gameplay that exists in today’s MMOs. The recipient of multiple industry honors and accolades, including “Best PC Game” and “Best MMO” at last year’s E3 expo, TERA is a new breed of online game that combines all the depth of a traditional MMO with the visceral gratification of an action game. In TERA, players must actively aim, dodge and block, as the game’s real-time combat system takes into account player position and skill, not stats alone. Players begin by creating a character from seven races and eight classes as they join in an alliance to save the world from bloodthirsty armies of monsters who threaten to destroy the very gods who hold their world together. TERA also introduces a revolutionary political system in which players wield power in their province based on their in-game political prowess or player versus player combat skill. So get ready people we are going to be on Ferel Vally PvP server it's the newest PvP server opened just yesterday in preperation for release and to cut down on 2 hour que times cause servers are full. McDill
i can tell you this im in close beat the leveling is fast. There are a ton of quest there are raid there are dungeons just like how WoW for instance has instances and such. The closed beta if you go to games top or there main site http://www.tera-online.com then you can pre order i recomend for added items and if your wanting the game to do it from there store but if you just want to try the beta you can go to gamestop and but a $5 pre order on the game to get an instant beta code. The $5 can always be moved to another game or refunded at another time. The game from my experience is amazing. It has a great interface and a wonderful new refreshing combat. Got to love being a warrior tank ( not like most warriors they wear leather armor) and dodging your enemy blows and having to predict whats coming to jump to the side or back or behind then then preform multiple combo attacks to keep threat. I already know there are about 3-4 looking at getting this not including my self.
McDill
Some words from the leaders of the Closed Beta test of Tera Online. Remember check the game out at http://tera.enmasse.com. Hit me up if you are planning on playing as i will be making a Guild on there. Planning on a PvP server unless people would want to roll a PvE (RP servers is a def no for me just saying) TERA's third closed beta test begins in two short days! Before diving into what's new with the game, we have a heads-up to share. On March 8 at 10:00 AM PST, we're deploying a new patch for TERA. You won't be able to patch for about two hours while we integrate it. This isn't a long-term solution, and we are working on a more seamless experience for future patches. Once we verify the patch was successful, we will open it back up so you can download the 25MB update. Here are some at-a-glance facts about this weekend's event: •Duration: Friday, March 9 at 11:00 AM PST to Sunday, March 11 at 11:59 PM PST •Servers: Arachnaea (PvE), Serpentis Isle (PvE), Valley of Titans (PvP), Jagged Coast (PvP) •Maximum Level: 32 •Character Slots: 2 per server Note that Closed Beta Test 3 starts an hour earlier that the other events. This is due to Daylight Saving Time starting this weekend and stealing an hour away. We're giving that hour back to you! We've been listening to you and have some great improvements in place for Closed Beta Test 3. We've made some small tweaks to the PvP system based on your feedback. It's now uncool to kill players six or more levels lower than you, and players who do will receive the red name of shame, with their punishment left up to the community. For the exact details, please see our patch notes. Our design goal is to give players the tools to run the PvP server and set a framework that encourages meaningful PvP but doesn't let asshats ruin it for everyone else. Increasing the level cap to 32 opens up two provinces to explore: the Val Aureum desert lands and the tropical coast of Ostgarath. In addition to discovering the towns of Chebika and Cutthroat Harbor, you'll be able to venture into Azarel's Temple, an open dungeon containing small instances. As with any patch we make to the game, we want to hear what y'all think about it! We are constantly changing and planning how to make TERA better, and your community advice is key to that, so please join the discussion about the new patch in the forums. We are hosting five closed beta tests for TERA from February to April, each lasting about 60 hours for a total of 300 hours. The number of servers, the maximum level, and number of available character slots will increase over the course of the events. There will be no non-disclosure agreement or NDA during any of these events, so feel free to screenshot, film, and write about your experiences, and share them with your friends and guildmates! Want to join us for this weekend's closed beta test? How about every closed beta test? Pre-order TERA from the En Masse store for immediate access to all five closed beta tests and the opportunity to retain your characters and their progress for the duration of the closed beta period.
