DarkMonotone Posted February 9, 2012 Share Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) I've been playing LoL and HoN for years now, and I feel like I have a good pile of tips and strategies for League of Legends. Communication: 1. LoL is probably one of the worst online communities. There are a lot of people who are not very good at being nice, I'd recommend to ignore these people all together. I find that when you ignore people, they eventually get tired of being mad because they can't get a reaction. Kills: 1. This is a TEAM GAME there is no such thing as a kill steal. The only way you can call a "kill steal" would be like if you were 1v1ing someone, and your teammate waited until the last minute to come in and take it then that's a kill steal. Popular belief thinks that kills are everything in this game, when they really aren't. 10-15 minions is about the same as killing a champion. 2. Last hit creeps as much as possible. There's no denying system but you do not want your own minions to kill the enemy minions. 3. Take crap shots at champions as much as possible, as long as you're not in danger yourself. This is also especially useful against people who are being overly aggressive. 4. When people are being overly aggressive do not feel bad if you haft to tower camp. It would be better for you to stay out of the way of their spells and such. 5. Make good judgment when you're trying to gank people, do not get kill hungry. Don't risk tower diving unless you're POSITIVE you can get the kill. Playing Champions and the Game: 1. I'd recommend that you make up your own build for champions, the developers really have no idea how to build their own champions. 2. Watch tournament/ranked games AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. You learn a lot more than anyone could ever tell you on an internet thread when you watch these. 3. Learn loosing and winning. This is a concept you will need to know, if you want to make this game a lot easier on you. Tune your mind into the philosophy that you're always going to win some and loose some. 4.
