-5.9-Cummins
Heyo! Cummins here. I'm getting a new keyboard soon, and I'd like to know what kind of keyboard is the best bang for the buck. My only two requests is that it be 1. Mechanical and 2. Under $120. So far I've looked at the Razer BlackWidow and I like it, but I'd like to get some info on other keyboards. Thanks! -Cummins
enigma#
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/member-reviews/47472-thermaltake-meka-g1.html This is the one I use, it's a bit loud but I like it. no ghosting (runs off ps/2 for me) read up this guide http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide interesting... -5.9-Cummins
I think I'm going to go with the Meka, although it is an extra $20 it seems worth it. Thanks Enigma and BigJ.
Darkwing Duck
dasKeyboard, Rosewill brand, or steelseries. Those would be my choices; I would not go with the Blackwidow because it does not have true n-key rollover, and doesnt have anti-ghosting. There are also other downsides to that keyboard but im too lazy to list them right now .
enigma#
true antighosting only comes from keyboards that run off the PS/2 port since it's a hardware interrupt and not based off USB signaling. There seems to be a lot of mechanical keyboard choices now xD
Wolfman
i have this http://steelseries.com/us/products/keyboards/steelseries-6gv2 never been so happy I would have to agree with BigJ... personally I went with the 7G because I wanted the hand rest.. it does cost more though. This keyboard is a tank. I've had it for a year now and the keys feel just as new as the first time I bought it. ps. (I love the sound of the clickity clack of mechanical keyboards)
