Wolfman
I was told I could build something for around $1,000.00 by Monkey but I'm willing to spend from $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 with a monitor. The only reason It's so cheap is because this is really all I need. I don't need a beast machine to just download music and play around on photoshop. I want it to be able to play games on the highest settings and just be able to handle anything I throw at it. I won't be running servers off it or doing anything like running a minecraft server. As far as cases I prefer performance to looks and I am more partial towards just black cases. Quiet machine is a must because the one I have now sounds like a jet engine when I turn it on. Also I want it to stay cool always even if I leave it on for long long periods of time. I also don't need an OS because I already have a version of Windows Ultimate 64 Bit. Thanks for the help guys. ***Musts*** Black Case / No LED Blu Ray all in one Burner ect. Runs quiet and is always cool Plays games at highest settings (BF3) (Diablo3) (Future Games) No OS needed 1920x1080 Screen INTEL not AMD Can't think of anything else right now but I will accept anyone's builds. Looking forward to seeing what the uppers post. Was told good things about a few uppers PS. The build I go with will be getting $100.00 to paypal or donated to HG the reason for doing this is I really want perfection with this computer I don't want to have to buy something in a year from now because it's over heating. Thanks again. -Wolfman Edited March 7, 2012 by Wolfman

You're not going to have enough power with that PSU, i would go with a 1000w for the sake of future upgrades.
Plaayer
You're not going to have enough power with that PSU, i would go with a 1000w for the sake of future upgrades. Shouldn't the 750w PSU be fine? The GTX 570's are wired to connect to 1 8-pin PCI-E and 1 6-pin PCI-E each. The 8-pin is capable of up to 150 watts, while the 6 pin is capable of up to 75 watts, for a total of 225 watts per card. Since we have 2 video cards in SLI, that would be a total of 450 watts of power to power both cards. Add in approximately 150 watts for the CPU and chipset, another 50 watts for the slight overclock on both GPU's, and another 25 watts for the rest of the build, you're up to a total of 675 watts. That leaves for a 75 watt gap between the max wattage for the PSU.
^TheRumor^
You have to take into account everything else in the system (peripherals, fans, HDD etc.) It's never a good idea to cut it close. I've been using this since i started building PC's. Remember that you must also keep in mind capacitor aging and current fluctuations. It's recommended at least a 750w, by all means try it, but you may not be satisfied about the outcome.
