tunafizzle
Hey all, sorry about this, I just got a message about this matter on steam. I thought the procedure was to have all the material (replay, steamID, et al) ready if a user contested their ban in unban requests and that the ban request forum was for those without admin abilities on the specified server. Obviously ignorance is no excuse and I'm not sure how I came to this conclusion other than probably not reading the admin rules closely enough or recalling them incorrectly when I first started banning cheaters. I'll gladly comply with this in the future to keep any repeat cheaters out. I have what looks like at least a dozen replays I can make ban report threads out of, however my .txt list of the SteamID's connected with each replay is in a hard drive that I (more than likely) just ruined while switching my computer into a new case. Though I imagine a good few of them would show me grabbing their SteamID in the replay(right? or does it just record the game? I can't remember at the moment) At any rate, between the replays and the users on the server that message me on the server to alert me to cheaters who can vouch for my behavior, I think I can easily prove I'm not indiscriminately banning anyone, if that's the concern here. I apologize for not following procedure-- as I said ignorance is no excuse but I assure you my intent has always been to rid the server of cheaters. Lt. Awesome
Alright so it just seems as a communication error of sorts. But yes, you need to make a Ban Report (https://hellsgamers.com/threads/18-Ban-Request-Template*Read-First*) for any ban over 2 hours. I'll also PM you a list of all Names and SteamIDs that have bans over 2 hours/were hackers that you have banned in the pass. Please remember to follow the proper procedure, and I'm unbanning you.
