Smart phones, are they worth it?

Recommended Posts

Well i have a phone its a Samsung Intensity 2 its a free upgrade non smart phone. Ive never had a smart phone so i dont feel i would need one. I dont see why anyone would need one. I dont have facebook or twitter. I guess it may take me up to a day to check my email but that is fine with me. I cant justify paying extra for a smartphone and data plan.

If you went the Blackberry route, you would have to be careful as some providers force a data package as some consider the Blackberry a "smartphone".

If you don't need apps or don't do anything extensive like that then you don't need a smartphone.

dont pay for a smartphone then but if you txt a lot it wouldnt hurt getting a blackberry :/ i use a smartphone bc i get bored quick and im always online facebook and texting. it really comes in handy

Apple just dropped blackberry's next couple of year's contract by releasing the new 5th generation iphone, which is gonna kill blackberry's, and most android and windows phones. I have a smartphone and the only reason is because i multitask and i use it for business and because i am almost on forums/ and websites researching, and smartphones are usually used to run applications and do things most phones can't do for businesses and they are 100% faster, because of their high end 3G, and the new 4G lte which uses 40pg, if you aren't really into multitasking and searching the web at fast glence, or you are not the type of person who is always checking their phone don't waste money on a smartphone as many people do. Most people buy smartphones like Iphone bcuz they wanna be cool n waste money, so be smartman, don't get one, unless you get a really good deal out of it.

If you actually buy the phone itself without the contracts then you dont have to pay for a data package but its around $200-$400 if you choose to buy a good new one

I have the Blackberry Bold and I honestly can say I never should have bought it. Some people like it but I personally think it's trash. It is directed more towards business and not luxury. I love BBM but its not worth it, I would wait for the IPhone 5. My 2 cents :P
