The logic is that, if space is infinite because space=time and time will never stop. Then at some point matter was nothing (when time began). So that means that nothing=everything and everything=nothing. A paradox is an other way of saying this ( a perfect way to explain the beginning of time). So if space is a paradox then everything can be answered as everything. CONGRATS! You just nulled a question and made it a 100% to get it right matter what! Interpolating the expansion of the universe doesn't work because the theory of "spherically symmetric expansion" isn't yet proven. For all we know the universe isn't actually expanding from a point of no matter (as the theory suggests) but moving out from two different points of highly concentrated matter, or 3, or 4, etc. It is clear the universe is moving and expanding, but it is unclear as to what it is expanding from.
