3.3 Mbps is fine unless your either a server or pirating games/movies so I really don't know why your paying for 10

It does confuse me when people pay for up to 3x what they can reasonably ever get from a server's upstream. Unless you're doing a lot of peer to peer, and want to risk a throttle, 3 and change is about all you can ask for.

Exactly, @ 3 Mbps you can download just about anything within an hour ( and reason). Throwing money at your Internet connection for small gains is wasteful.

Not to mention you will never find a residential line that is anywhere close to the Top Tier's datacenters use, including the fact that you have to then share that network with anyone in your household who is also streaming, downloading, ect.

getting buttfucked up in my town. Highest speed we can get from Telus (Major isp in canada) is 1.5 mbps down and .5 up. We're paying $35 a month. Fastest download speed i've had is 175 kb/s. If your closer to the signal output you can get 5, but they lie a lot. There is a second smaller isp in the area, but their prices are outrageous. $45 a month for 5mbps internet .5 up. Also they charge a $79 installation fee. Makes me cringe.

If i were you, switch isps or just downgrade to the 3mb connection and suck it up like i have to >.>
