lolitsjack
2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 - 1.2GB - EVGA Classified SLI Mode (Dual Cards) Most Expensive OR 1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 - 1.5GB Cheapest price OR 1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 - 2GB Middle price ----------------------------------------------------------- Choose your (my) destiny. Also, are data drives worth it at all? I mean i don't mind it taking my computer an extra 10 to 30 seconds to start up. So i was thinking of just going with a raid 0 with 2 1TB drives. SSD's are still way too expensive, at least that's what i think. Edited April 25, 2012 by lolitsjack

enigma#
Having 2 GB of VRAM is most helpful when you have a high resolution. However given the choices of video cards, go with the GTX680. Arguably speaking, that's mostly a personal preference at the moment. $/GB comparison between HDDs and SSDs is undeniable: SSDs are bloody expensive. However that being said, if you're constantly writing information back and forth (e.g. database instance, want some power savings, want _better_ reliability, and finally better performance overall, go for an SSD. However, I would suggest only using it to boot and have your core apps. In comparison, if you want decent read/write speeds for your computer, you can consider doing a RAID setup. The_Monkey and I compared performance on his RAID0 setup (Samsung SpinPoints if I remember correctly) and my OCZ RevoDrive X2, we noted that the GENERAL performance of the RAID was equal or better. PLUS you also get more capacity with a RAID set up. However, in more disk drive intensive applications, my SSD did overtake it (this is all synthetic benchmarking btw) significantly (by a margin of 100% sometimes even). All in all, it's up to you. For cost purposes, stick with RAID. If you want high performance without additional setup (in most cases), get an SSD.

Mr.Tin
680680680680680680680680 Get the 680. 680680680680680680680680
Sloth
Definitely get the GTX 680. There would be less power usage, less configuration, and overall better performance.
Plaayer
Like everyone else, get the 680. Everything is a bonus compared to 5xx series cards. For your HDD, look up SSD's with the Dataplex software (OCZ Synapse, Corsair Accelerator, for example) as its essentially Intel SRT if you dont have the Z68/Z77 chipset.
