60Seconds
He said he doesn't want something that breaks down a lot and you recommend a Ford. Back before my company was successful, they had Ford Escapes for company cars and they were really comfy and reliable. They kept them for at least 8 years. But I had them replace them with Escalades and X5s because nothing says success more than that lol.

Kaylor
I think personally start off with a beast ass fucking car. Shit, who cares if you wreck it, I think it teaches you a lesson. HAHA
Cookie
Why are you assuming I'm talking about him? Well then if you are talking about other drivers then it would be the other person's fault and they would have to pay for it (and btw insurance companies don't pay to replace beater cars, they'll give you bluebook price)
60Seconds
I agree with Kaylor. Just because you are a teenager doesn't mean you are a bad driver. I had an Audi S4 as my first car, which my parents got for me brand new. When I traded it in, it had around 30k miles on it and not a stain or a scratch on the outside or inside. The dealer was pretty amazed that it was a teen's car. I never dented it or anything. It all depends on how good of a driver you are, not your age. So feel free to buy the car that you want and not some crapper that your going to spend more money fixing than you spent buying it. Ford Escapes are great, and in my experience the quality is good, and the fuel economy is good. They have a ton of Escape Hybrids for sale in used car lots, so start there. Toyota RAV4s are nice too. Sloth
I would say go with something by Subaru. They last long, and you can run them to the ground.
blackberry4511
GET THE HONDA!! Ford escapes are nice though. But get the honda, those things will last longer than you and the replacement parts are cheap.
AnonyHorse
1987 ford f150 with a 302 in it. you're 16, you can easily pay for the gas in a v8 working at a supermarket as long as thats basically your only payment. dat brick nose, things indestructable Yes! I had a 1981 Ford F100 with a 302 and a C6 Transmission. So much torque. If it rained you'd spin out every time you touch the pedal. rwd ftw Fixed again. Believe it or not 16 year olds do work for their money. I put $5000 into the car. Thanks for the assumption though (: So your parents paid the other 7.5K...not making assumptions. Its nearly impossible to save more than 10k while going to school when your 16. in fact it is unless your parents help you.
