Angel
After a HM EV on SWTOR I started Steam and continued downloading the CS:GO Beta update, closed my laptop lid and vacuumed the house. I came back and lifted my laptop lid, and it was asking me to login so I did and this message came up: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 3081 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 1000007e BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005 BCP2: FFFFF8800BC029E4 BCP3: FFFFF88006BD2768 BCP4: FFFFF88006BD1FC0 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\050512-20014-01.dmp C:\Users\Shaun\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-538874-0.sysdata.xml Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt This has happened (this message) a few times before but under different circumstances, but I've never bothered to do anything about it until now. I know Bluescreens are very bad My laptop specs are in my signature; if a techie would be able to help me with this problem that would be great, thanks. ExGBrian
Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\050512-20014-01.dmp C:\Users\Shaun\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-538874-0.sysdata.xml Can u look for that? I looked up the bCCode and people are saying that its memory corruption :/ but post those dump files for us pweaze!
^TheRumor^
The 7E error most commonly points to memory, i would run at least 10 passes of Memtest86 to rule out memory instability. You can download it here. If you've never used it before, simply burn the .msi to a CD or DVD and boot to it.
enigma#
Upload them dump files so we can read them =O
Angel
This is the download to the first file: http://uploading.com/files/a465m512/050512-20014-01.dmp/ The second file wasn't there :/ I also forgot to mention that this started happening when my wireless internet dongle was plugged in. Like when I would be downloading something and the internet on it would crash/hang, which would cause my laptop to either freeze, or bluescreen and restart with the OP message
enigma#
******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e) This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address. Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted /NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ... If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is happening.
