Spraymaster Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 So we take the Mayor hostage (Hyper) and we RP take his Phone and Goverment Radio. 5 Minutes later mayor calls for back up. House gets raided and we all get arrested. What do you guys think. I think we should have a set role saying that we can or cannot take the mayors cell phone and radio when taking his hostage. But, this is PERP, most people tend to not RP when it doesn't do anything to aid them. Roleplaying A Mayor Hostage - Maybe you don't want to kill the Mayor. Maybe you wan't to make some cash. Well instead of murdering that old man, you can take him hostage! Follow this basic guide on how to roleplay a Hostage Negotiation. Step 1: Secure The Mayor. You need to get to the mayor first off. If you do intend to take the Mayor hostage, you can kill any uniformed government employee protecting him. (SWAT, Secret Service, Police) Step 2: Keeping the Mayor in line. Your goal is to keep him from running. You can use the /me command in chat to tie him up and taking away his radio so he cannot call for backup. You are allowed to lay down some rules that if he tries to run, you will kill him. Step 3: Making your demands. Tell him what you want. Money or the taxes being lowered are good key things. When asking for money, realize that unrealistic money amounts are not tolerated. The most you can ask for a Mayor is $3,000. Sometimes asking for less is better because it might be more successful. Mayor robbing is a form of NLR it self. You cannot rob the Mayor constantly, so give it a long time before you go at it again. You may rob in groups but anyone who participated may not rob again for awhile. Step 4: Getting the hell out of there. GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE! That's basically it. Little bit much to talk shit about the server and the admins on it though Hobbes. However the police still did their jobs correctly as there is no way they could know the mayor's radio was taken. You guys got rolled by a couple of cops with pistols. If you're going to take the mayor hostage, you should practice your aim? Wasn't there like 5 of you guys in there? One thing I don't really understand about this rule...what is the point of taking the mayor hostage if nobody knows about it? You want to discuss fail RP then riddle me that. Wasn't there like 5 of you guys in there? From playing the server so long on both the cop and criminal side, I have to say that the cop pistol is completely OP. If you hit someone twice anywhere with the damn thing, it'll put them out. Go try to rob the bank and see what happens. If the cop has halfway decent aim, you wont win.
