Simple as it is, Samsung and Apple (as the currently best mobile phone companys) are fighting and always try to be better than the other. It's the same between Intel and AMD, Nvidia and AMD and what ever else.

The Galaxy S2 was the answer of the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S was the answer of the Galaxy S2 (which failed totally...) while the Galaxy S3 is the answer on the 4S and in my opinion a double ownage. They should have improved the camera but that's it. The iPhone 5 just will be the answer on the S3 and this way it'll continue till the phones can turn into a 50" flat screen when a button is pressed with 3D and 20Mp camera. We shouldn't forget HTC, though..

I don't think Samsung is the best Android company. Motorola phones seem much more attractive.

You realize Samsung makes your iphone? The screen, Samsung. Pretty much 75% of the phone is Samsung.

relevant: you two are way too imbued in your fanatical thoughts.

Some of BillyMays' points are right. The ecosystem Apple has created keeps iPhone/iPad/iPodT flowing nicely. Sure there are alot of restrictions and a lot of drawbacks (e.g. lack of customisability OOB or ridiculous vertical integration), there are a lot of benefits that many users may find peace using the iPhone. That being said, his opinion is just as valid as any iphone fanatic. it's relative and holds nothing more than relative truth.

Based on reading BilyMays' first comment, I can say he's drankin' that coolaid. No point argueing with him.

Prius points out as well perfectly valid truths about iphone. In fact what I just said about iphone is completely reversed in the android ecosystem. It's much more open ,has a lot more customisability options OOB. There is no disputing that, and it's relative to the user.

I think it's completely blind for both of you to attack the product and not even assess the original question.

What did you think of the Galaxy S3?

PS I can tell you that neither operating system is superior to either. If we assess by market share, ofc Apple is first in line but that doesn't mean it's the best either.

Subjective. As far as I'm concerned, HTC has the best hardware. That's not based on any facts, though.

As I've said, Siri. None of the apps Android has can match up to Siri. I'm saying that Android has a huge amount of phones and they barely beat the sales of 3 phones. Anyway, show me proof of carriers offering discounts on an iPhone, that aren't across all carriers.

If Pepsi only made their original flavor, but Coke made a half-dozen, and Coke out-sold Pepsi, Coke is obviously evil for catering to what the public wants.

they obviously arent that great if their 30 phones barely outsell 3 versions of one phone.

So because the masses bought into it, it means its good? So a regular rock is inferior to a petrock because the masses bought into petrocks?

Um no... People aren't that stupid, if there was a better phone, I'm sure they would buy it. Its not like no ones ever heard of Android.

Except it isn't half a dozen, we're talking like at least 30 phones here. I never said they're evil, I'm just saying they obviously arent that great if their 30 phones barely outsell 3 versions of one phone.

That wasn't the point. You don't make sense from anyone's point of view. Once upon a time, the only car you could get was the Model T. Now, there a dozen or so major competitors. By your logic, every car company that isn't Ford is shitty and doesn't deserve the market share they gained by offering alternatives.

Where did Prius and his youtube references? :P

May I note how BB hasn't had a major innovation in about 5 years. And no, the transition to touch doesn't count, especially since they were lazy and fucked it up on their first devices.

No, because the S3 is still worse than the iPhone in some aspects. Like the camera. The camera on the iPhone is really good, at least on the 4S. This only pertains to some people, but there aren't that many cars that have Android integration. A lot of cars have iPhone integration. I realize this isn't really a advantage of the phone, but just trying to point out why I'd rather have an iPhone. If I had an Android, I wouldn't be able to plug it into my car and have all of my artists, albums, and playlists displayed on the screen in the car. Fox, don't even bring Blackberries into this. All they were good for was e-mail. Now they have nothing on any other phone.

Bluetooth.

I'm not talking about Bluetooth. I'm saying that I can plug my phone into the car and it pretty much puts all of its content into my car's infotainment system. Bluetooth can't do that. Bluetooth doesn't let me use my iPhone apps in my car. You can't do this with an Android in any car.

Actually, USB support has done this for quite some time. You can also run mixed mode and run calls through bt and audio through USB.

The stereo industry is still a decade behind. They happened to pick the most common three methods used to run audio several years ago and haven't reacted since.

So that's a marginal point to Apple for zero config audio.

No, no. I've had USB in my past few cars. I'm not talking about simply being able to play your music in your car. It pretty much makes your cars nav system an iPod. + You can use some apps through the nav system interface.
