Steam For Linux

I know I posted an earlier article about how this would probably be coming soon, but here's a followup:

Should happen sometime later this year. And ready commentary out there confirms my earlier thoughts that this is paving the way for a linux based 'Steam Console' for home gaming. If that happens, expect most developers who are on Steam to start writing linux ports of their games, so that they can be on the linux based Steam Console.

Yeah, agreed with ExGBrian, doesn't seem like many games would be compatible with Linux, besides no one really would think of using Linux as a gaming os, just sayin'.

Oh, but you're mistaken. In some (Windows) games that I've run in nix, nix actually outperformed a Windows machine. Linux has superior memory management, but the big headache is always emulating proprietary drivers, and tools, like DX. If I had a little more free time, I'd probably still be running it for my primary OS.
