LazaHorse
Wow... That storm took out power in the DMV since like 11 last night. Who else around here got knocked out? My phone service and home phone lines are still down. They say some people won't have power for days or even a week. Biggest non-hurricane blackout to ever hit the DMV. Sick shit... I amused myself by reading The Hunger Games. -.- On chapter 12 now. Good book honestly.

60Seconds
Hurricane season in Miami is much worse. It's creepy as hell too. Everything is deserted and at night a lot of the apartment buildings and hotels are completely dark because a lot of people leave.

We head down to Key West to visit my dad's friend once in a while, and every time one of us mentions the hurricane shutters on the windows asking what it is because SOMEONE forgets each and every time lol. It's pretty weird how COMMON hurricanes and storm weather are down there. Lol it's like it's a part of their daily lives now.

Mine doesn't because it has hurricane resistant windows. Although a few companies and buildings down here got sued back in 04' for claiming their windows were hurricane resistant but then they had Rita I think and it broke like half the windows in the buildings.
