J3TTA
That we should diss-ban the rule of cops looking into cars to see if u have guns? in my personal opinion i think that's meta gaming. Like if you tell a cop to gtfo or move the get mad look in your car to give them a reason to harass you!
bigjohnMS
+1 agreed the car is your property and i know in real life u would need a warrent to take my gun!!!

Papa John
Well I mean then, by the same logic, it would be metagaming for cops to be looking through the windows in your house. If automatic weapons are illegal at all times, and you get in a car with an automatic weapon on your back does it somehow not become illegal? It would end up that people would just hop into cars while police are chasing them for automatic weapons and then hop back out when the cop leaves. So -1 if it wasn't apparent already :/
Phirewire
Depends are you getting in the car before or after the police ask you to put it away? Before then yes its fine after they ask and you run to ur car no.

Fallen
+1 cars = Private property.
Papa John
+1 cars = Private property. True, but since you can't own automatic weapons on private property either why would it be legal?
Mark
Are you trying to apply the peeping tom rule? I agree that it would be like saying you can't look in a house window. Your house doesn't move and we can see weapons on your back from a mile away so I don't see how this would make sense.

MisterInvalid
-1 I think all of this "cars are private property" stuff is BS. You might own them, but you do not own the land you are on, so you should still be held to the same basic laws as if you were on foot. Also it is really easy to get out of having to take your gun off (If the cop is not a veteran perper) and even if they are.
Awwik
I know this is light rp but in real life if a cop sees a gun in your car all bets are off. Even in Texas you have to have it in a case Or holster. That's even with a concealed carry license, that's why concealed is on the license. Just my 2 cents and some change.
Rizon
Agreed.
Plaayer
To me, I'd say that if you have an automatic weapon in your car, you can be arrested. Shotguns and pistols, however, are fine to have in a car. BUT, can we get a definite ruling on this? (Like, put it in the rules list.) I don't want to be enforcing some idea that gets tossed around more than STD's in Vegas. Well all states are different. Granted, if a cop sees a gun in the car, they will most likely be on edge no matter where they are. However, here for example it's perfectly legal for someone to drive around with a loaded handgun on the dash.
That1bacon
Same, as long as it is not in sight it is legal here
Solitary Ocean
I agree with Papa John. If you see an automatic weapon on someone's back while they're in a car, it makes sense to do something about it. It's not like they're looking through a brick wall. The tl;dr of this is that you can see through windows for a reason, your car isn't suddenly a place where you can evade the law and make amusing faces through your windows at the cops because they can't do anything... Sato
Well, in the game Shotguns are allowed for self defense. Your car should be your property and be treated as such. I mean, if a cop asks you to remove your shotgun and you enter a car, it be the same thing if I was in subs. He ask me to remove my gun so I go back to Subs 4 which I own. He can't really do anything about that. However, if I have an Auto on my back and the cop asks me to take it off, then I hop into my car and drive off, then I can be warranted for having automatic weapons. +
