Puppymew Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 I was mayor and I was hosting a car show and I asked how to record, they told me how to do it, so I started recording I named it pie, when I finished it wouldn't let me load it on the demo loaded. So I tried to play it by doing the playdemo <Pie> it said it couldn't read it, I'm using my brothers computer for Garrysmod and he won't let me download any recording things, so when I had to post a blacklist report I had to use my video camera to film the screen, Darkwing said I need to use the demo next time, but what if the demo won't work for me ever? Any tips how to fix this? (PS: This was in video related and demos are videos so I hope this is in the right place) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nevodka Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Open up console using ~ (if you don't have console enabled go to Options->Keyboard->Advanced and enable it.) Then type record pie, if you want your demo to be named pie. Once you are done recording either disconnect from the server or type stop in console. This will end the demo and save it to your steam/steamapps/username/garrysmod/garrysmod folder and it will be named pie.dem. If you want to view the demo ingame, you type playdemo pie in console.
