This is just a little discussion covering my experiences of HG so far, some things I see that could be changed, and some things that are just total bs. If in anyway I am overlooking something, go ahead and correct me. I am also writing this with the deepest respect for the staff here, I know you have lives (hopefully) and I know you do (most of the time XD) try your best. Right, so HG is pretty fun. Its my first time in a gamming community, and overall a good one. I play TF2 and Garry's Mod (perp). I love playing Perp but hate how addicting it is. So we're done with the nice stuff..... Now down to the part that inspired me to create this thread. I understand this could of been a one off, and keep in mind I said a whole bunch of praise in the second paragraph. It just so happened the other day that there was a ban request made on me (? I think thats correct grammer) for RDM and/or Metagamming. If you really care, this report was made by Suicide Doe, and resulted in the temp ban of me. Im now gonna try and explain why: I owned a certain apartment, 202 i think. I had installed a burgular alarm and all that jazz. At that current time I was not growing. I had left (locked the door of course) to go and buy another M4 (lost mine in an earlier raid). After successfully buying one, my burgular alarm went off. I sprinted back to the apartments. You want to pay attention now, this is the important bit. As I entered the apartment lobby, I heard upstairs a person claim he was me (mike chat) and that he had killed the raiders....the police had arrived before me and were falling for this guy. Since I am on around the same time Suicide was on, I had grown to know his voice (you know, older.....deeper...not too deep) as you do when you play with someone for a period of time. Suicide was pretending to be me after raiding my empty apartment. As I turned to go upstairs, I saw (either) sticky or Original Gangster crouching at the top with a shotgun/pistol out. I would just like to note I had weapon out, but my new M4 on my back. Upon seeing me, the member of grovestreet opened fire on me, and broke my legs. I killed him with my M4. Suicide the turned the corner, followed by some cops. The cops were very obviously content with his lies and were leaving the premises. On instinct, I killed Suicide as well. (At this point of time, both the guy who fired at me and Suicide were in Grove Street, and I knew that they raided together). Seeing the cops surprise (Mike chat went *Holy Shit, why'de he shoot that guy*) i started yelling into my mike *IM THE OWNER, I JUST GOT RAIDED, IM THE OWNER, HE RAIDED ME* but the cops blew my head off anyway. A medic then revived me upon i was arrested, for the 2 seconds I was alive, i continued to Yell to no avail. I would also like to note that there was no warning me to take my gun off my back or anything like that. *sigh* Right, thats done. I made a report on the cop, which failed cause *he arrested me for illegal weapons* which is total crap since your meant to ask before using force. Suicide then made a report. In this report he said (along the lines)* Unless he had a way of knowing I had just raided me, it was RDM* Before I could respond, Mark had closed it and put a four/two (cant remember which) ban on me. Immediatly I posted a unban request saying that I did know he had raided me therefore it wasnt RDM. I then PM'ed Mark saying I had posted an Unban request. Nearing the end of the (i think it was 2 hours) ban, Mark responded saying there was 4 mins left....wait it out. This pissed me off since I'de been waiting for the last 2 hours. In this responce, he again closed the thread. So I joined TS3 and poked him. we then had a little discussion. After re-explaining everything, he said that the ban had ended.....give over. I then asked if this would go on my record of sorts. He responded, and I quote: *Only if it doesn't happen again* HANG ON. I JUST SPENT THE LAST 2 HOURS EXPLAINING WHY IT WAS A MISTAKE, AND YOU DIDNT EVEN LISTEN TO A WORD? Anyways, that...........ugh.....just makes you feel great doesnt it. A smaller issue...not too big, just putting it out there. In the 2 hours I was waiting, I posted on a ban request saying "I agree, i've been having the same issues.....RDM probably isnt the best way to deal with it though. Best thing you can do now is appologise and be truthful." Dutifully and rightfully, Dirty then PM'ed me one of them warnings.......I then responded with an extremely nice letter. Fully apologising and I even think I put a few jokes in there. Baring in mind this was a week and a bit ago, I still havent got a reply.......I know people are busy, but a *thanks........Have a good one* would of been nice. Now this ties up into my last point of interest. When playing on Perp, when you have a probablem, why cant people refrain themselves from using *butthurt* *STOP WHINING* and vulgar language, if they have the time to comment, atleast be helpful. I think that we should start banning for lack of respect, not to just recruits/members (Im finding it interesting observing the difference when I wear the HG tag and when I dont), but to anyone on the server. Yes, I understand that OOC is not the place to make a ban report, but a little *Yeah, that sucks......hopefully you recorded and you can post it on the forums, otherwise we cant do much but try and record next time* instead of *Stop whining, Shut up and go to the forums* Sigh........its done. Finished......lol I think if anyone comments about whining or anything like that, I will stalk them and make their life a misery. Yes, I understand that people here do a good job. Yes, I know im just one of many (but a little respect would still be nice). All my quotes are true, maybe not totally word for word, but im not making anything up. Thanks again staff for a great time, sorry bout pointing out some weak spots, but no harm done......
