Poohunter
To start off, here's the demo I will be talking about http://zhost.hellsgamers.com/u/c3/888.dem So, this demo was from a month ago, and the guy I was spectating was named 888. So, watch near the end of this demo, so 888 ran into soccer and there was this T there, he followed the T around and then the T turned red. So he killed the T, now look at the console, it shows up as a freekill. What? But he was clearly red. 888 was then accused of freekilling the next round, which I believe he didn't. Now, the reason I'm posting this is because I had a recent scenario happen to me today. There was this guy in kitchen, and I watched him kill another CT with a P90. He then turned red, and I shot him. The logs showed up as a freekill and I was accused of freekilling the next round, which again, I believe I didn't. Now, to all the people out there that say the logs don't lie. Sure, maybe they don't, but can't they glitch and make mistakes? So if an admin can prove that this wasn't a freekill, nice. But if not, I'm convinced that the logs do in fact glitch and make mistakes. Discuss? and please look at the demo, it's near the end of it. Bonbon
The logs don't glitch and make mistakes, but here are a few things that could happen. Someone is designated as a rebel for 5.0 seconds. 5.000001 seconds later you kill him. Your eyes can not even see that he isn't red anymore, but the script is so accurate, that it recognizes it as a freekill. Occasionally, client's computers will get messed up, and people will stay red, even though they are no longer red. It's a very annoying glitch, but reconnecting fixes it. And it's important to note this is a client side glitch, not a server side.
