Until you hit ~1300 elo, I'd suggest picking whatever your strongest champ is at whatever role, ignoring all other 9 players in the game, and then playing the game as instinctually as possible. I really wish people would just let me do top or mid, because taking a gander at my match history every Akali game has been a win with about 20+ kills and very few deaths.
