I'm going to be using a single GTX 690 to run both of them, but I'm not sure which screens I should get. I have no experience whatsoever in TV/screen purchasing. I am probably buying a PC from http://ibuypower.com/ but they don't have an option for it really. Any suggestions on what to get for a screen? lolitsjack Posted September 11, 2012 Author Share Posted September 11, 2012 I changed my mind to building my own PC, I have never built a PC from scratch, but I have upgraded my old ones with new parts so it is within my capability. For the monitors, I was thinking around 19-21 inches, my price range is large. I would mostly use them for gaming; playing more than one game at a time, but I would still use them to play the same game across both screens for games that make it more suitable that don't have a set mid screen location. (Like Starcraft and Eve) I would probably only use one for FPS. I bet trying to play jailbreak with minecraft would be fun. The thing about dual monitors that has always confused me is the space between the two if you were playing an FPS game. I mean a 3 monitor setup would be great for an FPS, but 2? enigma# Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 If you're sticking with nVidia, you could probably take advantage of nVidia Surround 2D. It lets you span 3+ monitors nicely. (Sadly it doesn't work with two unlike ATI's EyeFinity) If you are just gaming, most of the new TN panels with LED backlits would work. If you're looking at brands, Samsung | Viewsonic | LG | BenQ (eh) | HP if your'e willing to shell out more money I'm a fan of their ZR series. They aren't the greatest IPS-based monitors you can get but for the money, it's nice. IPS-based monitors are better in colour gamut, replication, viewing angles.
