betrayal
So i reformatted my computer blah blah blah I download steam and try to reinstall cs source now whenever I try to launch the game it comes up hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Any ideas how I can fix this? I'm stumped!
ttaM
Did you have any command line entries before? Something dumb like that can really blow Steam's shitty coding up. Steam is broken, we've all accepted it. Try the support page for steam or just try to google and work around with the various fixes. Don't do anything outrageous though, think of what you may have done before reformatting, I mean don't go changing priorities and stupid stuff like that if you didn't have to before. vandium
Close steam completely. Go ahead and delete your client.blob file. Alt+ctrl+del and make sure there are not steam or HL2.exe processes running. Restart steam, and try to play. Update us.
UN4M3D
Make sure your hacks aren't running because they may intefere and crash css :oo: Or do as swat says and check the steam support, look a few threads down, someone else keeps getting css crashes
