SuperChargerFan
Ok heres the situation: My gmod is ok, not good, but ok. So i donwload all the crap to play on the PERP server...which takes a while as expected, but! somewhere around 80% through the download my pc crashes from external causes (aka, not gmod) now when i try to join to finish the download (or even restart) gmod just crashes... i need to know how to uncorrupt or delete the files I downloaded for the PERP server so I can restart the download. Instructions?
Silly
delete your gmod folder, and uninstall gmod, then reinstall
SuperChargerFan
I have deleted my gmod folder, re-installed, re-downloaded, typed 'vgui_allowhtml 0' in console, and started single player before joining; no solution. Here's the problem, readdressed: I re-downloaded, first time it started downloading files It crashed on its own, i don't know what time, its like a 2 hour download. Internet was up the entire time and pc didnt crash I attempt to join now, and this is what happens It runs up to 'Retrieving Server Info' fine, but... It black screens with the mouse (normal mouse) for about 5 secs It displayed that Gmod has crashed. Any creative solutions? Note: My gmod is farely slow, but otherwise, works perfectly fine. Edit: HELP!!! Update: Verified game integrity, some things changed: Still crashes at same spot, BUT! No black screen Error is listed as Engine Error error reads: failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer Edited October 2, 2012 by SuperChargerFan
Silly
right click gmod, click properties, and click the startup command or whatever, type this in (no quotes) -mat_dxlevel 80 and if that STILL doesnt work then you need to update your video drivers.
