Nipple Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 so who here plays Civ5? i love the game and have been playing the civ series since civ2. (i have gone back to civ1 before and its actually fun). my favorite was civ3 (complete edition). what a beautifully crafted game and i have so many awesome mods/scenarios dl'd for it like the Cold War and the Rise and Fall of the Roman empire. i hated civ4.. bleh. but to get back on track... i do not have Gods and Kings yet on Civ5 (waiting on a steam sale maybe?).. anyone recommend it? i play on immortal level against the AI usually as France. I almost always do pangea (because the AI is incompetent with continents or islands) because its harder. My main strat with france is policy whoring early in the game with liberty and piety to expand fast and stay happy.. then i rush to gunpowder and use 2 great scientists to get rifles out quickly and crush any nearby opponents before they can get a ton of cannon/rifles out (or even infantry by then since the AI gets insane science boosts). i win on immortal fairly easily, but i still haven't won on diety. On diety i do pangea but no barbs/city states and domination win only. i currently have a game that im doing decent in (industrial era) and im trying to make a run at one of the two big AI's (who are in the modern era) before they get nukes.. if anyone wants to play civ5 with me and maybe do a 2v2v2v2 game against AI on emperor-deity level pangea let me know Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
