Recently installed Windows 7 on my netbook, it installed I guess, but the thing is that the Netbook used Ubuntu 12.04 and now it's running Windows 7.

Now my internet driver is gone. I went to Device Manager, and I have no Network Driver or anything. The only thing I see is a Network Controller that's listed under 'Other Devices' and it has an '!' point in a yellow triangle.

Wat do.

Only thing I need to find out is what my driver is, and idk how.

Easier,

please do this,

Tell us:

1. Operating System (Windows 7, XP, Vista??? , 32 bit or 64-bit)

2. Device ID

To get it:

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager

Start -> Control PAnel -> View By: Small/Large Icons -> Device Manager

Find the network adapter with the ! beside it and right click, hit properties.

Select the tab 'Details' -> In the dropdown menu, select Hardware ID, right click on the first entry and hit 'Copy' and paste it back

This will give us the info we need, it should look like this:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1502&SUBSYS_047E1028&REV_04

(although not exactly xD)

VEN = vendor

DEV = device type

Subsys = variant, usually apparent for manufacturers who are OEMs.

REV = revision

This download link:

ftp://WebUser:[email protected]/cn/wlan/8188_8192_CE_WindowsDriver_1005.36.0417.2012.zip

This should get you the driver you need. Extract it and install it.

If it doesn't work, we may need to manually install the driver. (more complicated :P)
