Their argument is that League has no defined "roles" and to base a selection system off the NA metagame would lead to it never changing. Supports can carry games just as hard as any other role (especially those who are usually the initiator/peel of teams i.e. Taric, Leona, Crank, Alistar, Jarvan, and Nunu). (i haven't used it in a while but yeah) Basically 80% of ranked players are going to que for top mid and adc especially at low elo (apparantly you all think your the best tops to ever grace the planet). So that leaves 20% of people (probably less if everyone is like you) who want to play support or jungle. So basically if you want to adc/top/mid you will be in an hour que just for one game, but if you jungle or support it will probably be an insta que (wow dungeon finder) So technically speaking it will never work.... Also the meta of today (solo top solo mid two bot and jungler) may not be the meta forever. Also doesn't matter what roll you play.....bad players are bad everywhere. Ahh the good ole days. I remember playing xin bot lane. His damage was sick as straight ad and had a gap closure that secured kills for him and the jungler. That's why people have bad rankings. Although, I somewhat agree I do feel it matters what role you play. I went 28/8 as an Akali one game playing top. The ONLY REASON we won was because of that, my team ALL had negative K:D ratios. There was no way in Hell I could of ever came close to pulling that off had they made me go support.
