Puppymew
I want to buy a laptop that can play PERP pretty good, graphics, I don't care, if my glock looks like something out of half life, I'M FINE. The least amount of FPS in a full server in the city is 10 in a car, I can't go over 700. Any suggestions? The reason is why I put it here, is because I want people who play PERP on a laptop to tell me what they have and how good it is, and where is the best place to ask that? Here, so HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST LAPTOP! :D

Puppymew
Couldn't find the laptop that you suggested, it must be currently discontinued, or renamed, also couldn't find a price that suited my needs that was under the price range, Samsung does not have what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help though! Edited October 15, 2012 by Puppymew Couldn't find a laptop that suited my needs and price range.

DarkMonotone
Are you looking to ONLY PLAY Perp? If that's not the case tell me what games.
Angel
My laptop specs are in my signature. Runs PERP perfectly, as well it can run any band new games that come out on highest graphics settings without any lag. I bought it in December last year so I would be looking at the later models if you were interested. EDIT: never mind just read you can't go over $700 lol. AnonyHorse
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro/select 15 inch But only when i play on laptop Just.....no.... for $700 you can probably find something, but you'd be better off getting a tower. Also, 10 FPS is around what i get in perp when i'm in the main city. Perp is ridiculous because of the immense amounts of entities that can be spawned. Out of town i usually get 60-120. This is on a gtx550ti playing at 1280x1024 mind you.
Puppymew
Are you looking to ONLY PLAY Perp? If that's not the case tell me what games. Well, mostly PERP, sometimes I will go on our DARKRP server if it interests me, and just garry's mod in general.

DarkMonotone
I'm gonna start up my laptop and try Perp on it for you and I'll edit this post with my response for a good laptop, I'll judge what I feel is a good one based off of this ones performance since it is a pretty mid level laptop. Puppymew
Wow, dude that would be awesome, how would we do the transaction though? It will be a while though, I currently have 220 dollars, I will be asking for money every Christmas and birthday, getting about 100 dollars each, so it will be a while though, I also plan on getting a job to help get more money too, the reason why I posted this is to get a good laptop to start saving for, I like to plan ahead. But if you want you can either sell it to someone else or save it, either way I will keep your name in mind and when I have the money I will message you. We can meet up back of Walmart or something

Plaayer
Since you're saving up, might as well save up and splurge. Take the time to get more money, and get one that will last you more than just PERP. Little did you know, enabling Multicore Rendering (assuming you have a CPU w/ 2 or more threads) will boost your FPS quite significantly. I went from ~40 on a full server to ~60 on a full server. pazda
Don't get a laptop. Get a desktop. Not a mac. Build a computer. You can get a computer usually priced at $1100 for $700, like I'm doing. http://www.pcpartpicker.com and http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc should help. Why not a laptop? They're bad. You can't game with them, too small, not enough comfort. The specs of a laptop are significantly worse than a desktop even in the same price range. They are also more prone to viruses etc. Why not a Mac? They're overpriced, you'd be supporting a business with awful ethics, and I can build a computer as fast as a $1500 mac for $300. I'm not exaggerating.
AnonyHorse
Dont get that kids 2nd hand macbook. It isn't a gaming pc, just like this isn't craigslist... Save a bit more, and buy something that will last. Take plaayers advice, or build a tower.
Puppymew
I'm taking Plaayer's advice, this seems like a awesome computer http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/build_a_kickass_500_gaming_pc_play_crysis_40fps Plus I know someone who has Windows lying around somewhere. PM me if you want me to make you the best build for your budget. If you're dead set on a laptop, I'd go for this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230424&Tpk=N82E16834230424 When you have $$ in the future, add a 256GB SSD (put the old 500GB HDD in an external enclosure) Edited October 21, 2012 by mcwillzz
