iDigitaL- Posted December 30, 2012 Share Posted December 30, 2012 So since yesterday i have a ps3, i tried to connect it to my wifi but everytime its connecting to it it says "Time out when trying to recieve IP" or something like that. I tried to disable my WPA2-PSK, restarted my router, even did a reset, i tried to add my MAC address to my router, didnt worked, changed my channel of my wifi, didnt worked either -.-. So for example, a restrictive NAT would stop certain requests for gaming servers from coming in correctly (that's why you couldn't connect to your friends' session in Borderlands for example) I'm not sure why we're talking about NAT filters... perhaps you're thinking of WLAN MAC filters? Have you tried setting a static IP address on your PS3 with your router (presumably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) instead of using DHCP. This isn't a standard router so I'm guessin' this AP is being used to expand your home network's capabilities. http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dwlg700ap/h_wizard.html This is the emulator for your AP, it should help if you don't want to make immediate changes.
