SuperChargerFan
I need an app to quickly get proofed so I don't look like a dipshit turning it in. PLEASE, do not troll...this is a very serious paper for my college app. There have been many times in my life where I have had to struggle through challenges to learn and grow stronger. Each of these moments in my life have helped me develop into the person that I have become today. While all these experiences have significance to me, one stands out as helping me become the strongest person I can be. It was my time as a high school wrestler that built me into the man that I am today. I walked into the wrestling room a small and timid freshman, but I knew that hard work would let me achieve goals that most people around me thought were impossible. I had to fight not only for my spot on the team but I had to fight for my reputation, my pride, and for myself. I knew that I was not athletically gifted. In fact, I probably had the least natural talent on the entire team, but that did not stop me. I have made myself recognized among my coaches, teammates, and peers that I was the first one in and the last one out. During my Junior year, my team acknowledged my hard work and dedication by naming me a team captain. The lessons that the wrestling room have taught me go far beyond the edges of the mat. Wrestling has taught me critical skills such as hard work, confidence, and dedication. These are skills that are valued highly in the world and I am proud to know that I posses these strong attributes. I know that I am ready to take my talents off the mat and into both the classrooms in college and in the careers that I will pursue in the rest of my life. While the unfortunate reality is that I will never get to display my abilities on a wrestling mat again, I know that those abilities will stick with me no matter what happens to me. College will be a new challenge to me. In some ways, it will be similar to the challenge of joining the wrestling team. I am prepared to take on college at Colorado State University. It is my unique skill set that makes me able to thrive at CSU. I am prepared to tackle whatever life decides to throw at me. College will be a unique and hopefully a fun experience for me, and I am ready to take on the challenge from the morals that I learned from wrestling. The hard work, confidence, and dedication that I have not only learned but practiced and mastered in wrestling will take me far not only at Colorado State University but in life as well. As I take my final steps on a wrestling mat, I look forward to the many steps that I will take in the future. Edit: Fixed Mark sentence...thanks mark! The first one is the only mistake I can find and the second one...I'm not a big sports guy but are there more than one team captains? SuperChargerFan
The first one is the only mistake I can find and the second one...I'm not a big sports guy but are there more than one team captains? Thank you for finding that. I appreciated it a lot! Also, there are 3 team captains on my team, but there can be a few more or a few less. A team captain is the leader of the team, and they are looked up to as role models...it is a fairly prestigious.
