blackbelt
My laptop can't handle my games anymore so I'm building a desktop and I found two video cards, one that I know will work(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127612), and one I don't know enough about(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500256). I am not familiar enough with Nvidia's card to know if this one will run games like borderlands 2, Mass Effect, Assassin's creed. and I wanted to know if it was worth the extra $15 for the PCI Express 3.0 vs. 2.1. P.S. I don't have complete specs because I don't have all of my components, the only one I know I'm getting is an i5 3.1GHz(3.3Turbo)
enigma#
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gt-640-review,3214.html It seems pretty even for some games otherwise nvidia takes a few leads. This is comparing the 6670 not the 6570 that you're looking it (one step up)
Plaayer
I am not familiar enough with Nvidia's card to know if this one will run games like borderlands 2, Mass Effect, Assassin's creed. and I wanted to know if it was worth the extra $15 for the PCI Express 3.0 vs. 2.1. From what I've seen, the difference between PCI Express 3.0 vs. 2.0 is near negligible. If I were building the PC, I'd save up quite a bit more and splurge on a GTX660. But, between your 2 choices, I'd personally go for the GT640.
