Nerdy things - Desktop searching

Out of morbid curiosity, what search apps are you using to do your day to day searching. Kind of looks like the big 3 are...

1 - Default windows search - Works most of the time, albeit slow

2 - Windows live - Makes me rage because I hate burning CPU cycles on what Microsoft considers an index

3 - Google desktop - Takes some getting used to. I'm kind of undecided on whether it fits the bill, especially for business use.

Thoughts go here. You know you want to.

Windows Default. The one in 7 is hella fast. Also, I really don't like Google's Big Brother desktop searcher. Live is probably the same (never used it myself though).

I think the ability to link up for cloud searching is what turns a lot of people off for Google Desktop.

My conundrum is the fact that Outlook 07 wants me to install live search so it can index my email, but I don't want to index my entire hard drive. I consider it a complete waste of cycles, but without an index, it breaks local searching.

T.T
