SuperChargerFan
What is it? The HG Games are a composition of many of the widely played games among the community into one large tournament that combines fun novice matches with competitive brackets. What Games Will be Played? This can be changed depending on what people want, but here are the suggested games: Top Tier (most likely a part of the tournament): Counter-Strike (CSS or CS:GO) Pros:High percentage of players (owned) Good for competition Easy to manage Fits 5 person teams Cons: Generic Skill Oriented League of Legends Pros:Easy to manage Fits 5 person teams Good for competition Widely Played Free Cons: Highly Skill Oriented Strong Dislike from many potential participants Harder for lower levels Mid Tier (Probably In but can easy be traded out): Garry's Mod Pros:Many potential gametypes Widely Played Interesting Cons: Difficult to score/manage Frustrating to some players Minecraft Pros:Unique Widely Played Cons: Very Difficult to score Difficult to manage Lower Tier (Potential Trade in games) Team Fortress 2 Pros:Free Easy to score Competative Cons: Not played that often Similar to Counter-Strike Day Z Pros:Unique Competative Cons: Insane to manage/score Problems with rules/gametypes Not so widely owned Others What are the teams? Teams will have 5 players. Subs will be provided by the tournament if players do not have certain games. This makes it so teams cannot sub out players dependant on the game just for better matchups. Who is invited? All teams will require at least 3 people from HG (-hg- to council). After that, teams may add 2 non-members upon team request. How many teams will there be? It all depends on how many people we get. Considering a team is 5 players. Final tournament can be set for 8,16, or even 32 teams (which is about 200+ active participants!) What type of a tournament will it be? It will be a round-robin seeding and double elimination (No crossover for finals, meaning if you get into the finals...that WILL be your last match). This allows for both volume of low competative games for fun with the round robin, but we can still keep things interesting for competition with seeding and a final bracket. When will it be? IF it will be, then it will all depend on how long it takes to get people and set up a good time. Most likely it will be held on a Saturday or a Sunday, which will be determined by a team vote. How can I make sure that it happens? Post your interest, tell your friends, get council members on board (DO NOT PISS THEM OFFF!!!). This event will need a lot of support because it will probably need at least 50 participant and about a dozen moderators to even make! Feel free to make suggestions that you think will make this better. If it becomes an official event, all changes will be made via a team vote (aka: You want a say, you gotta play).

Snoopy :)
Really? I don't think it's clearly stated in your description if it is then i'm blind xD Regardless, it's a bad idea to have a team that can play all games.

No. You have one from strat, one from mmo, one from css, one from csgo, one from tf2, one from gmod, profit.
mcwillzz
this seems way more complicated than its worth. you should have it be CSS/CSGO, TF2 and League if you must have multiple games Edited February 28, 2013 by mcwillzz

jajolt
Sir...that is 6... You get the point lol. Regardless, you will have a few that will be good at 2 (Like me, I'm good at tf2 and gmod) and so you can have one of those for those 2 and then get someone who is amazing at the thing you all suck at and they will teach you.
