flounder_al Posted March 8, 2013 Share Posted March 8, 2013 I banned someone from a server tonight by mistake. They accepted i made the mistake and was willing to wait an hour for it to pass. My question is though, he was playing on the same house network as his friend and it appears that his friend was banned at the same time. Most ban mods have a built-in function to ban people via their Steam ID then by IP for a few minutes to ensure the same-said person does not try to log back in shortly with a new Steam ID or something. It depends on the mod that is loaded but that's how most ban mods take into account people with multiple accounts handy.
