Xerxes
Anybody got any tips for TF2? I've only recently started playing, and I can barely make it in training. I am okay at being a spy, though. Anyone?
Sonick
Play each class and learn what class you like/do best. I haven't done the training. Hit a trade or achievement server and get some gear.
digitalshot
Anybody got any tips for TF2? I've only recently started playing, and I can barely make it in training. I am okay at being a spy, though. Anyone? Be support for a while. Try out medic or heavy because it actually helps out your team. When I started playing TF2 a long time ago I just tried out each class until I felt comfortable with one. I used to play heavy all the time because it was really simple. Once you get the mechanics of the game and how each class plays out then you will become better at the game. Also use the stock weapons in the game. Don't be like Captain Lemonz who thinks he is a good heavy by using Brass Beast. Stock weapons are better than most of the items that you can collect in game. Get together with friends who understand the game. They will help you out and overtime you will understand how to play the game. I've already stated playing a specific class (heavy or medic) but not everybody is going to be good at a certain class. Everybody that plays TF2 with me knows that my main class is Demoman because I can tear shit up with it. However I suck ass at being a good spy. Dynas and The Meta Knight are good spies so I leave them to play that class. Remember, TF2 is a TEAM BASED GAME! This game is in no way Call Of Duty or Counter-Strike. You must work together with your team to achieve the goals of the gamemode (Control Point, Payload). Just play the game enough with friends and you will start getting better at the game.

I started learning sniper and spy and there was a time where I didn't know so every time was different. After a few months, I realized that I was best at supporting my teammates with medic. I then decided that the medi gun was too slow and I shopped trade servers and tf2wh mainly and bought unique weapons for 200 credits or a scrap each (You will need to have a premium account, which costs 5 bucks or 2.5 keys, you can also upgrade by buying items in the mann co store, but the total will have to be at minimum $5.00) Once I found a set of things I liked, I decided if I wanted to keep the uniques or get a quality set. First set of medic items- Overdose Vaccinator Ubersaw Then I decided that I would get a strange syringe gun, alternate the vaccinator with a quality weapon (turned out to be a vintage kritzkreig) and a strange ubersaw. So it takes time, but it is highly worth it. It's way better than CS:S imo because you get to customize your weapons and trade for better ones, etc. Also, if you don't want to embarrass yourself, play with bots. Start on easy, turn them up to intermediate, then finally expert. Prepare for the game of your life. Also, Don't be like Captain Lemonz who thinks he is a good heavy by using Brass Beast. First set of medic items- Overdose Vaccinator Ubersaw I don't recommend overdose or vaccinator. Overdose does shit damage and won't help you out. Use blautsauger. Regular medic gun helps with ubers/ kritskrieg will give u crits. Vaccinator is kinda useful if there are absolutely no sentry guns and the other team is terrible. Yes to ubersaw because 4 hits on an enemy with it and you get a 100% ubercharge.

It (kind of) helped me learn how to beat people when you're doing less damage.
Honey Sprinkles
Heres some tips: - There is no K/D you should pay attention to defending, attacking and doing objectives. - As a engineer, use the frontier justice with the gunslinger and rack up some kills then destroy your sentry and go on a rampage. Don't waste the crits, use it when you need it. Use pistol for backup. - As a spy, go invisible then disguise or their will be smoke and enemies can see you. Do not bump into enemies. Don't always go for the kill, watch your back or your fucked. - As a medic, Uber when you get low health to survive, heal other team mates don't just be healing that one heavy, Uber saw is useful when you use it correctly, Don't use vaccinator, Don't uber with kritskrieg to destroy sentry's, Always spy check instead of healing a spy.(editing this later busy right now)
