Increase Vip Perks Without Increasing Downloaded Files(Minimum)

Hey its fatcat from our trade servers. I just thought that VIP needs more perks to A) Increase the donations Increase the competition top 20(Because the perks are amazing) And last but NOT least! C) To have more fun cosmetically and not be overpowered!

 

Now some of my ideas require a little bit of recording. I was thinking possibly our coders could look at it if it is accepted.

 

Ideas:

1)

 

Weapon Recolors *Requires Recoding so we can flag VIP's and not have a store plugin to use it

 

Description: This plugin allows players to buy custom colors for their weapons in the store

2) Jetpack for VIP's only(Why? I feel we need to push people to buy VIP. Our best perks should be dedicated to our VIP's only. This will encourage people to either donate or be active reaching top 20 and keeping their status)

 

3) Re-size me and re-size head Plugging*Requires a little bit of recode( Take off the shrinked players because its overpower but allow people to increase their size) PS: if they want a bigger hit box(Body) or a Bigger head that's not a problem. Smaller heads can be bad for snipers and smaller bodies can dodge bullets like nothing so that is Over Powered.

 

Description: Allows players to change their size (or just their head)! Big Spy? Tiny Heavy? The choice is yours!

4) Unusual Weapon Effects.

Why not let our VIP's customize their looks with a small little Unusual effect on their weapon? This is a very nice cosmetic that we can give our VIP's along with the Unusual Hat Effects.

 

Description:Players can choose quality and unusual effects on his items. You can make admin or donator restriction. Plugin auto saves players data.

5) *Requires Coding Last but not least! Allow our VIPs to have cut time in their rtd waiting. That means that instead of 120 seconds they have to wait 90 seconds

 

We could leave the robots for all players. We need to give our norms something other than rtd.

With these pluggins (WHICH require Little-NO) extra download for our clients. These could Increase our server population (Due to people seeking for VIP and people urging to keep their status) Lets be honest the more we give them. The more they seek VIP and the more income/activity (Popular)we get on our servers.

Dynas and I considered this option before even installing Jetpack. We decided it would be better for everyone to have access to Jetpack. People love this feature and we didn't feel the need to limit it to only VIP's. If you still feel the need to have Jetpack for VIP's only then go talk to Dynas in Teamspeak.

This is an !rtd plugin. I believe it is a bad effect roll but I don't think we have it enabled in the features config. (I have no clue why lmao don't ask)

This actually requires absolutely no coding. I can go into the config and change the time to 90 seconds and link it to admins/vips.

 

The rest I know nothing about, so when I'm not busy being a college student with finals I will have a look at it or you can talk to Dynas and ask him if he's not busy.

Oh i understand you are busy. I'm very glad you took the time to look at it and that's all i ask. But as for the re-size plugin. Id like vips to be able to do that them selves. People like that crap. Idk why? They think its funny?(Yes it is in the rtd but id like to have flags on it) Well anyways its something nice to have. Also for the jet pack thingy. Id like to hear what our community says. That's only what I think but again we work as a community so id like to have comments. Ive also added a new suggestion to the list Color me. Edit** Can't find the color me Plugin It allowed users to color their character

These all seem like wonderful ideas i would love to have some extra VIP effects ect ect, I've been rank 10 for almost 2 weeks now it's little to no challenge to get rank 20+ I would love some more competition to beat on Here are my opinions on your subjects from 1-5

 

1 Weapon Coloring) I've never actually seen it in game myself, But it seems like a good idea

 

2 Jetpack for VIP's only) A lot of might donate just for the jet pack alone so i think it's a good idea, + It will make more competition for the top 20

 

3 Resize) I've only seen this on 1 other server and i laughed at it so i would love to see some big headed people running around

 

4 Unusual Weapon effect) Another good idea, i would love to see what people do with there colored/unusual weapons there will be some good combo's out there

 

5 RTD Cut time for VIP's) I also like this idea i hate waiting ages to RTD, You can rejoin the server and keep rolling i've found out so idk *Shrug*

 

Anyway those are my opinions on the matter, i think they're all great ideas lets hope we can get a few in game!

I like what is going on here HOWEVER

 

I don't think top20 on trade servers should get free vip. You do not have to be good to be in the top20 on a trade server (i.e. people killing from above spawn, nether sentry camping, ect). Just my two pennies. I can elaborate on it later if needed.

 

I do agree that vip should get a few more perks though. Compared to the css vip perks our tf2 vips don't really get much at all.

1 Weapon Coloring - that seems like a cool idea. Never actually seen how it works.

 

2 Jetpack for VIP's only - I think this allows more competition for the VIP rank

 

3 Resize - Meh i dont really care about this one cause it can get annoying. Also when ppl get shrunk to the point where you cant see them it get a bit OP

 

4 Unusual Weapon effect - I think this combined with weapon color is just another cool effect to have. Maybe limit this to a smaller ammount of ppl because im guessing its going to cause major lag

 

5 RTD Cut time for VIP's - In a way it's good and bad. This can let ppl roll noclip faster and just do the cleaver chucking for free kills, but then also the rtd wait time was a pain

 

 

Overall i think these are some pretty good ideas and can't wait to see them on teh server

Here's the thing, when we were working on TF2 VIP a few years ago, we didn't wanna break the game and make everything unbalanced. But I'm reconsidering this since you guys are asking about Trade Servers. We had a TON of ideas for VIP that never got implemented for fear of making chaos. Keep posting your ideas and I will look everything over and decide on VIP features.

 

Keep in mind that this will take a while to get everything implemented so patience is a virtue.

I think this is the best decision. Ultimately, we should still have SOME perks for regular players.

First I want to make my personal philosophy known, when we make changes to our servers we want to make them for the benefit of everyone, not just the select few. Call it an American thing, call it whatever you want, but it's part of what make our servers a fun place for EVERYONE. That being said here's a list of stuff:

 

1.Jetpack will forever remain for everyone. End of story. First of all we did this once and the amount of bitching we got was astronomical.

2. I'm going to update the RTD plugin so the big/tiny features are for everyone.

3. I do want to see if I can get a reserved slot for vip/admins. If it ends up effecting our total player count then probably not, but we'll see.

4. RTD times for VIP shouldn't be too much trouble.

All I ask is for people to put their input in and it to be juged accordingly to the advisors. I don't really mind if it happends either or not. I just want everbodies opinion. I sit on the trade servers asking what people want. So when i put a post up. I want the people who inspired me to review it. Then in the end you division leaders see it . All i ask for is a look.

Weapon Recolors - Genius idea, it would be pretty legit to walk around with a light blue soda popper and sandman.

 

Jetpack for VIP - The idea is good, might get you some buyers, but it will also get you some haters. By this I mean that people will get angry and annoyed after the jetpack was removed. I myself wouldn't enjoy it, since I compete for the top 20. This will also make noclip kinda useless when you are outside the map. If you fall out, you are stuck and must kill yourself. So I don't think you should take the risk with this one and maybe lose players.

 

Resizing - I will be honest. Dumb and useless. I mean ok, it would be cool to walk around seeing giant headded scouts, but after a couple days, it will get old. It will also get really annoying to people because it would get in the way of our view. Unless you guys want to add a limit to how big you can make your head and body, I'm not to sure about this one.

 

Unusual Weapon Effect - Another great idea, this sounds pretty cool. Would be nice to have a beams sun-on-a-stick! But This + Unusual hat effect + colored weapons, not a bit too much..? No lag issues or anything? I think it might be too much, but other than that, great idea.

 

Shorter RTD time - This is a great idea overall. But I honestly dont think people would spend real life money on just removing 30 seconds from wait time. Unless you want to cut it down some more, It might be difficult to get some buyers just for this.

 

 

Now, if you combined all these into one VIP package offer, that would be great. That would definitely get you buyers.

Or you can spread them out to different packages. Such as Silver accounts gets these, gold gets these, etc etc.

This is a good Idea. But you might want the RTD wait time to be like 60 Seconds instead of 120 Seconds. And I think Jetpack should be for all users

I like the idea of more perks for VIP's for sure, I don't support the jetpack for VIP's only though. Resizing could be a fun little side effect for the people who are competeing for / are VIP. Reducing the RTD cooldown time seems like a great idea for all the guys who are paying for the server (or are again, like I said, competeing for it) is a wonderful idea!

These are all good ideas. I think that VIPs need more rewards for staying in the top twenty. However, I think that everyone should be able to use jetpack so that non-VIPs can have the same gameplay as VIPs.
